A payments and remittance veteran with more than 25 years in the industry, he has held positions with a variety of companies, from publicly traded firms and global businesses to startups and early-stage entities. During his career, Rob has served as an executive at licensed money transmitters, managed P&L for various regions around the world, run sales and marketing organizations, and worked both sides of mergers and acquisitions. At Bates, he represents the Money Services Business, Fintech and Cryptocurrency practice, supporting client engagement and new business outreach.
In 2016, Rob established Fintech-Advisors, focusing on supporting clients in the payments and remittance industries, both consumer and business-to-business. His many clients include “B2B” global payment firms, third-party payment processors, cryptocurrency firms, traditional money remittance firms, and others in the payments industry.
